The Process

How Working Together
Actually Goes

From the intake form to enrollment, here is exactly what to expect at each step — including when the Scope of Appointment (SOA) comes into play and where PlanEnroll fits in.

Step by step

The Full Process, In Order

Five clear steps. Nothing hidden, nothing you have to figure out on your own.

  1. Fill out the intake form

Before we talk, share the basics: your zip code, current doctors, prescriptions, and any coverage you have today. This takes about 2–3 minutes and lets me prepare for our call instead of taking notes during it.

    Go to the intake form
  2. Book a time on the calendar

Choose a slot in my Google Calendar that fits your schedule. The first call is a no-pressure introduction. No SOA is required to book or start this conversation.

    Go to the booking calendar
  3. We talk through your situation

On the call we cover what's working, what's not, and what you'd like coverage to do. This is general education and discovery — your current Medicare setup is not affected.

  4. Sign the Scope of Appointment (SOA)

When we move into specific plan benefits, premiums, or pricing, CMS requires you sign an SOA first. I send a secure PlanEnroll link by SMS or email — the 3-step visual guide below shows exactly what to expect.

  5. Review your options together

I present the plans that actually fit your doctors, medications, and budget side-by-side. If your current plan is the most suitable option, I'll tell you so. You decide whether to enroll, switch, or stay put — never any pressure.

SOA Sign-In Guide

Signing your Scope of Appointment in 3 steps

When the time comes to discuss specific plans and pricing, you'll receive a PlanEnroll link by text or email. Here's exactly what to expect.

When and why do I need to sign this?

The SOA must be signed before we discuss specific plan benefits, premiums, or pricing. That moment may come up during our first call or a later one — whenever it does, we'll pause and get the SOA on file first. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires independent agents to document the topics covered during a sales discussion. The Scope of Appointment is a legal consent form — it is strictly a permission-to-discuss form and does not affect your current Medicare setup, nor does it obligate you to change plans. It simply ensures our conversation stays focused on the products you want to hear about.

Open the Form on Phone or Desktop

Tapping the link opens the Scope of Appointment Confirmation Form right inside your browser. You can fill it out on your phone, or if you'd rather use a larger screen, open the link from your email and complete it on your desktop — the form is identical either way. Check the plan types you want to discuss, fill in your details, and you're done.

Pro Tip: Pay close attention to every highlighted section — those are the fields you need to complete. CMS only lets me discuss the product types you've checked, so be sure to check every plan type we plan to talk about.⚠ Important: Do NOT fill out the Authorized Representative section unless you are legally acting as an authorized representative on behalf of the beneficiary.
